History – a humble start Kenzer & Company has its beginnings in 2006 as mQc Incorporated Sdn Bhd. The abbreviation mQc was actually for Melaka Quality Center, a voluntary society inaugurated in 1999 for individuals, private and public entities to promote excellence within Melaka and Malaysia. Members of mQc seek to share quality and productivity philosophy and practices in a culture of co-operation and learning. mQc had a total of 41 registered Malaysian organizations with a combined annual turnover in excess of RM5.887 billion, and combined total of 16,272 employees since inception. mQc had also organized the Small Group Activities competition where teams are tested on their skills and knowledge “live” is the first of its kind in Malaysia. Other activities included cooperation with some member companies on leadership and organizational research, with support from academics for the members to learn better (or best) practices from each other. Kenzer was the pro-tem President of mQc.

Independence – the need to serve our clients better From their days of volunteerism, Kenzer Tan and Dr. Bong founded mQc Incorporated Sdn Bhd to share their humanistic management approach based on Total Quality Management (TQM) philosophy and practices within a corporate environment. In the beginning, the focus of mQc Inc was on conducting training. In 2005 and 2007, we were appointed as official partners of Melaka Chief Minister Award (CMA). We undertook the responsibility to design the assessment modules and acted as the assessors for CMA. Over the years, we realized that we were not only able to fulfil market needs on training, but also management consultancy and management services. Given our track record of winning corporate and national excellent awards in the organization, team and individual levels, we decided to share our knowledge and expertise on business and performance excellence. To reflect the expanded professional services that we offer, mQc Inc was renamed as Kenzer & Company Sdn Bhd.
